is a great dance.
In Munich we offer weekly classes, workshops and parties under the M-Jive banner.
Set up in September 2009,
M-Jive Munich already has a dedicated, enthusiastic and fun-loving following. At our M-Jive homepage (available in
English and German) you can find details of all the classes and parties, plus a bunch of home-produced videos & photos
of our events, parties, dancers and teachers.
Twice a year we run weekend events under the Jivin' Munich banner.
We welcome dancers of all levels from around Europe (and beyond!) to a fun weekend of workshops, parties
and outings.
Jivin' Munich weekenders are not just about dance - with so much to see and do in
and around this fine city, we make the most of it!
At our "Spring Fling" (usually the last weekend of May) we visit some of Munich's renowned beer gardens as well as beautiful
Lake Starnberg - the biggest lake in Bavaria - where swimming, boating and - of course - lakeside dancing are all on offer.
Our "Winter Warmer" takes place the last weekend of November, when Munich's Christmas Markets and Winter Festival have just opened.
Opportunities for ice-skating, drinking glühwein and enjoying any snow around are there for the taking!
What's so great about Modern Jive?
- You can come alone, with a dance partner or with friends - we always mix partners during classes and parties too.
- For most events you don't need to book. Jivin' Munich weekenders are an exception - big demand mean that booking is essential.
- Modern Jive / Ceroc can be danced to most all kinds of music - old and new. So you get a great range of the best music, non-stop.
- It's the easiest dancestyle to learn - no difficult steps, just walking to a beat. The fun comes in the cool moves that we learn,
as well as the almost limitless opportunity to express yourself and create something unique ...on the dancefloor!
